Client: Ipswich School
Contract Value: £100,000
Ipswich School is an independent, co-educational school for both day and boarding students.
The students are members of either the Pre-paratory School for 3 to 11-year-olds or the Senior School for 11 to 18-year-olds.
As a result of a Fire Safety Audit and Risk Assessment, Ipswich School identified the need to upgrade their existing Fire Warning Systems to protect numerous buildings at their two sites in Ipswich.
Via a competitive tendering process and the presentation of a technically superior system, BBC Fire & Security was awarded the initial phase of the works comprising the replacement of all existing Fire Alarm Panels and the installation of nine Notifier ID3000 Fire Alarm Control Panels networked together using the superfast Notifier ID² Network.
After the successful completion of these works, the school embarked upon a programme of upgrading each building with new analogue addressable fire detectors and warning devices, using BBC Fire & Security for these works.
