BBC Fire & Security is delighted to announce that our Passive Fire Protection division has been awarded LPCB approval and is now listed in the Red Book for LPS 1271 certification: Requirements for LPCB Approval and Listing of Companies Installing Construction Elements Used To Provide Compartmentation In Buildings.

Our company has been assessed and approved for installation of passive fire protection products under the following scope:

Appendix 2 – Fire doors and doorsets

As with any fire protection product, fire doors will only perform properly if they are correctly installed and maintained. Poor installation can mean that an otherwise well-manufactured door fails to provide the required performance in the event of a fire. Similarly, regular inspections and maintenance is imperative to ensure the continued protection of your people and property.

Third Party Certification is the best assurance of quality when looking for a provider to help meet your fire safety requirements. It offers independent verification and evidence that a company is competent and working to the appropriate standards and best practice for the specific service you require.

LPS 1271 certification demonstrates our commitment to high standards and our ability to install, inspect, maintain and repair fire doors in accordance with LPCB standards and helps building owners towards meeting their own obligations under the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005.

David Moore, Managing Director at BBC Fire & Security commented:

“BBC Fire & Security is built on a foundation of continuous improvement, a philosophy that is deeply embedded throughout our business. This achievement evidences how we operate to the highest possible standards and our customers can be assured of our competency and our dedication to providing them with the highest levels of quality and service.”
