BBC implements Data Centre fire protection for major worldwide insurer
The site, comprising of over 4500 metres² of technical space, was protected by 4 Networked Analogue Addressable Control Panels, 29 Fire Suppression System Control Panels, 68 High Sensitivity Air Sampling Smoke Detectors, 1000+ Smoke Detectors and over 1200 other alarm devices.
The Data Centre fire protection system was installed and delivered in compliance with the requirements of BS5839-1 and BS6266:2002.
As part of the overall fire detection and alarm system, we were contracted to provide a computer-based Alarm Management Graphical User Interface to provide security staff with a single point from which to control and view the status of the system.
Working to a tight a tight programme, BBC Fire Protection met and delivered the requirements and expectations of the client.
