The
lifetime of BBC Fire Protection has seen incredible
changes in the technologies employed. Especially
during the 1990s, there was an inevitable conversion
to electronic detection and alarm systems, with
previous equipment becoming obsolete. And there
has been ever-greater demand for sophisticated
Public Address and Voice Alarms (PAVA). We have
welcomed these developments, recognising the increased
sensitivity of alarms and the protective benefits
they afford. And our rigorous, ongoing training
programmes mean our engineers always possess the
appropriate expertise to design, install and service
such equipment which is not limited to the brands
we supply.
The close relationship we enjoy
with Notifier allows us to be at the forefront
of new technologies. Their massive investment
in the design, development and manufacture of
advanced fire detection systems give our customers
the reassurance of state-of-the-art solutions.
Future trends will see the introduction of ever
more intelligent systems, which are quicker to
detect hazards, less likely to give false alarms
and better adapted to difficult environments. |

Although
we are happy not to be the cheapest supplier,
neither are we the most expensive. Simply,
we do not believe in cutting corners when
lives and properties are at stake, yet we
understand customers' budgets and remain
competitive. As some view fire protection
as a non-returnable investment, with a relatively
low priority, so we have sought to overturn
that attitude. BBC Fire Protection sees
its role as an essential preventative measure
- almost an additional emergency service.
